Here are a few questions that I was unable to answer because I was too busy blathering on and on about Content Marketing:
Does your LinkedIn connections qualify as a quality list?
Absolutely, if they are giving you permission to reach them again, it is a list. I am particularly fond of LinkedIn as a strategy for people in professional services.
What should a business owner do if they are “technically challenged”?
You only need to learn to get to the grocery store and back. Let me explain. I have a terrible sense of direction. The few times I have moved to new towns, I made sure that the first thing I learned was how to get to the grocery store and back to my home. It’s fundamental. The same is true for Content Marketing, just learn the fundamentals. Things like “how to log into your website and write a blog post” are fundamental. Just learn to get to the grocery store and back and forget about the rest until you are ready to learn more.
What about the last stage in the ARC method? The stage called Convert.
The “Convert” stage is critical as well. It is at this stage that you need to start studying the art of Direct Response marketing. Learn to make a good offer, write a good headline. Learn why people say “yes.”
Read books like “Influence” by Robert Cialdini and “Advertising Secrets of the Written Word” by Joe Sugarman.
What are some ways to build a bigger list?
Start a blog and then do everything you can to network with other people that are blogging and building lists in your space. There are others in your space that have access to a huge audience. You need to connect yourself with those people.
